Why This Happens:
- Excessive Wi-Fi radio usage due to poor signal strength (RSSI below -80dBm), leading to increased transmission power.
- Mechanical binding in the deadbolt mechanism due to door frame warping (seasonal temperature fluctuations).
- Partially depleted battery exhibiting increased internal resistance and voltage drop under load (especially at -20°C or below), causing the motor to overwork.
- Improper C-wire system resulting in the lock drawing power from the battery even when AC power is available.
- Firmware bug causing excessive CPU utilization or radio transmission.
- Physical obstruction preventing smooth deadbolt operation (e.g., dirt, debris in the strike plate).
