Technical Background:
The August Lock relies on Zigbee or Wi-Fi (depending on the model) to communicate with the August Connect or August Doorbell Cam. The beeping/flashing white LED often indicates a critical error state preventing normal operation. This state is often triggered by low voltage from battery impedance or failed communication handshake. The motor drive circuit requires a stable voltage to operate. Poor wireless signal (RSSI below -80dBm) can interrupt critical firmware updates. Credential storage uses AES encryption; any interruptions here could trigger error states.
