The August Lock relies on a motor drive circuit to actuate the deadbolt. A flashing green LED typically indicates a communication error between the lock's control board and the deadbolt position sensor, or a failure to calibrate the motor. Low battery impedance in cold Canadian winters can affect motor torque. RF interference on the 2.4 GHz band (shared with Wi-Fi) can disrupt communication with the August Connect bridge or integrated Wi-Fi.
