Technical Overview:
The August lock communicates via Bluetooth to the HomePod mini, which acts as a HomeKit hub, relaying commands over Wi-Fi. Connection drops can originate from Bluetooth interference, Wi-Fi network instability on the HomePod mini (2.4 GHz band congestion is common), or issues within the August lock's internal firmware. The HomePod mini relies on a stable internet connection provided by your Canadian ISP (Bell, Rogers, Telus, etc.) to communicate with Apple's HomeKit servers.
