Why This Happens:
- Inadequate ventilation around the hub. Placement in an enclosed cabinet or near other heat-generating devices.
- Power supply malfunction. Incorrect voltage or amperage delivery leading to overheating of internal components.
- Excessive device load. Too many Zigbee/Z-Wave devices connected, overloading the hub's processing capacity.
- Complex or poorly optimized automation rules. CPU overload caused by excessive conditional logic.
- Wi-Fi interference or weak signal. Leading to increased processing as the hub attempts to maintain a stable connection. Rogers Ignite and Bell Giga Hub band steering issues.
- Firmware bug. A recent firmware update might contain a defect causing increased CPU usage.
